Under an umbrella

The blue was a very striking choice to background the model. The darkness of her hair and the lightness of the blue are a great contrast. I liked that she was off center, drawing your attention away from her directly and letting the background add a certain tone to the piece. I also appreciated the fact that her hair seems to kind of frame in her face, giving the photo two layers of dimension. Next time, I might add a few highlights to the hair, in something like Photoshop, just to bring out more of the texture there, and add another layer of depth.
